## Caption

Over the weekend, P-8 students and their families participated in California’s annual Coastal Cleanup Day, which is also a longstanding community service tradition at SHS that emphasizes environmental responsibility and civic engagement. Students collected trash and debris, helping protect local waterways and habitats while gaining a deeper understanding of the impact of human activity on the environment. The Coastal Cleanup aligns with the P-8 Service Program’s goal of connecting classroom learning with real-world action, encouraging students to take responsibility for their communities.
