The Houston Astros have six games remaining to save their season, and the race for the AL West is far from over! After a devastating sweep by the Atlanta Braves, Houston sits at 77–79, just one game behind the Texas Rangers. With the head-to-head tiebreaker in their favor, the Astros still have a path to winning the division and returning to October baseball.

On today's episode of Locked On Astros, Brett Chancey (Htown Wheelhouse) breaks down exactly what Houston must do to overtake Texas, how the remaining schedules could impact the AL West race, and why the final six games against the Seattle Mariners and Athletics will determine the Astros' postseason fate.

Yordan Alvarez is stepping up when the Astros need him most! Following Sunday's sweep, the usually quiet superstar addressed his teammates in a clubhouse meeting, emphasizing the urgency of the moment. We discuss why Yordan's leadership could mean just as much to the future of the franchise as his MVP-caliber performance on the field. Could this be a defining moment in his journey toward becoming the face of the next generation of Houston Astros baseball?

We also examine the Astros' playoff probabilities, their struggles against the Seattle Mariners, and why previous head-to-head results don't determine what happens next.

And finally, we're having a heart-to-heart with Astros fans. The frustration is real, the criticism is warranted, but the narrative that this team doesn't care deserves a closer look. From Yordan's clubhouse message to the players fighting to keep their season alive, there are reasons to believe this team hasn't given up.

Six games. One division title still within reach. The Astros have an opportunity to change the ending to their season, but now it's time to deliver on the field!
