So many ways to celebrate World Gorilla Day! 🦍

See Mshindi, Tulivu, Bandia, Nayembi, Motema, and newborn Usala at the Detroit Zoo, then tune in tonight at 8 p.m. to learn all about their care in the latest installment of Detroit Zoo Inside & Out.

Go behind the scenes for a gorilla training session where the troop learns ways to participate in their own healthcare. Then hear from the experts of the Great Ape Heart Project who prevent and treat heart conditions in populations of apes in human care.

📱 But our work doesn't stop there. The Detroit Zoo is also proud to report that more than 2,100 devices were collected during our Gorillas on the Line Go 4 It drive yesterday! Funds from this drive go directly to protecting wild gorillas and their habitats.

🖥️ Tune in on Local 4+ via the ClickOnDetroit app or WDIV’s YouTube page to not miss a moment of gorilla fun! Detroit Zoo Inside & Out is produced in partnership with WDIV Local 4 / ClickOnDetroit (local4news).
