Calling all students and educators: GreenPrize 2026 applications are OPEN! 🌎♻️

This year, 18 southeast Michigan schools will each receive a free Waste-Free Lunch Assessment worth $1,500. Your cafeteria waste has value - let us show you how. It’s a hands-on opportunity to equip students and their lunchroom with waste sorting best practices.

Selected schools will receive:
🔎 A lunchroom walk-through and student waste audit
🎤 A presentation from a waste diversion expert
📋 A customized report with photos and recommendations
🌱 Support toward Michigan Green School recognition

New to sustainability? Already leading a Green Team or Eco Club? Either way, GreenPrize can help your school take its next step.

🏫 Who can apply?
Public and private schools serving grades 4–12 with administrative support, a staff champion and plans to pursue Michigan Green School recognition.

Apply by Friday, Oct. 30 at 10:30 a.m. Let’s make your school’s lunchroom the launching point for something big!

Apply now at the link in our bio.
