Did you know? The Bay of Fundy’s tides can reach up to 16 metres (53 feet)—that’s roughly the height of a five-storey building. 

Located between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, the bay is home to the highest tides in the world. Twice a day, more than 160 billion tonnes of seawater flow in and out with each tide.

On the Nova Scotia side, Burntcoat Head Park is home to the world’s highest recorded tides. At low tide, make your way down to explore the ocean floor and at high tide, explore the local trails, museums and galleries nearby.
