Building a Stronger Future for Forest Park

The future of Forest Park, Diggs Homes and the surrounding Greater Forest Park/Eastern Market neighborhoods is being shaped with one thing at the center: the voices of residents.

Through community-driven planning, the City of Detroit is working alongside residents to identify investments that strengthen housing, improve public spaces, expand access to resources and enhance quality of life.

And the vision is already taking shape.

🎨 A new mural at the EnVision Center
🏀 Improvements to the Forest Park/Diggs basketball court
🌳 A new outdoor gathering space
🥬 A Mobile Market in partnership with Eastern Market
🚦 Project Green Light improvements
🚲 A future MoGo bike-share station

These early investments are more than improvements to a neighborhood. They are the ideas of residents becoming a reality.

Together, we’re helping Forest Park rise higher. 💚🏙️
