## Caption

The equinox always feels like a threshold to me.

A moment of extraordinary symmetry arriving in the middle of an extraordinarily imperfect human life.

And maybe that is part of the medicine.

The Sun moving through sidereal Virgo can make me aware of everything that could be cleaner, wiser, more disciplined, more complete. The places where I still fall short as a father, partner, teacher, and spiritual seeker.

But Jupiter in Cancer reminds me that growth does not happen through criticism alone.

Sometimes we need to be nourished into becoming.

Sometimes we need enough safety, enough grace, enough tenderness to look honestly at ourselves without collapsing under the weight of what still needs work.

And Saturn, retrograde in Pisces, reminds me that humility is not the same as giving up.

I can acknowledge my mistakes.
I can remain devoted to evolution.
I can keep walking.

Without demanding perfection from myself before I allow myself peace.

Perhaps this is one of the deeper teachings of the equinox:

Balance is not becoming flawless.

It is learning how to hold accountability and compassion, striving and surrender, discipline and grace, at the same time.

Today, I am trying to meet myself there.
