Congratulations to 2027 OF/INF Brady Takacs (Gunn/Fairfield Warde, CT) on his commitment to the University of New Haven! 

We couldn’t be more proud of the resiliency, determination, and perseverance Brady has shown over the past 18 months.

An incredibly talented athlete, Brady faced an injury that sidelined him and put his goal of playing college baseball in serious jeopardy. But instead of letting adversity define him, Brady attacked his rehab, trusted the process, and WORKED his way back. 

And that’s what makes this commitment so special.

Brady isn’t just a special athlete — he is an even better person. One of the most humble, genuine, and hardworking young men you could ever meet.

We are incredibly proud of Brady for working his way back onto the field, continuing to develop, and now earning his opportunity to play at the next level with the Chargers of New Haven! 

Coach Celano isn’t just getting a talented baseball player — he’s getting a true warrior, competitor, teammate, and tremendous young man.

Brady, your journey is a perfect reminder that setbacks don’t define you — how you respond to them does.
