## Caption

New England in the fall belongs on every road trip bucket list 🍁 Peak foliage usually happens between late September to early October. Save this guide for some of my favorite foliage stops across New York, Vermont and New Hampshire!

💦 Taugannock Falls, NY
- 215 ft waterfall, one of the tallest east of the Rockies
- Easy Gorge Trail walk to the overlook, great for a quick stop

🍂 Stowe, VT
- Drive Route 100 and Mountain Road for classic Vermont foliage, covered bridges and mountain views
- Ride the Stowe Gondola for elevated views of the Green Mountains

📍 Dixville Notch, NH
- Hike Table Rock Trail, 1.5 miles round trip with 750 ft elevation gain, about 45 mins to the top
- Stay for sunset but bring a headlamp, it gets dark fast on the way down
🚗 Kancamagus Highway, NH
- The scenic drive runs 34.5 miles between Lincoln and Conway
- Stop at Sabbaday Falls, Rocky Gorge, Pemigewasset Overlook and Hancock Overlook
- There are no gas stations along the highway, so fill up beforehand
🥾 Artists Bluff, NH
- 1.5 mile loop in Franconia Notch with about 400 ft elevation gain, about 1 hour round trip
- Short but rocky in sections, wear shoes with good grip
- Overlooks Echo Lake with views of Cannon Mountain, best early morning for fewer crowds

🏔️ Crawford Notch, NH
- Scenic drive through the notch with mountain views in every direction
- Stop for waterfalls and trailheads along the way, fall colors peak here a bit earlier
