## Caption

Henri Cartier-Bresson escaped the Nazis three times. He came home to find MoMA already throwing him a memorial retrospective. He wasn’t dead. The man who basically invented street photography. Taped over his own camera so it wouldn’t catch light. Refused flash on principle, called it “impolite, like coming to a concert with a pistol in your hand.” leica_camera magnumphotos Who should Friday Photo Club cover next?
