Methane is the most dangerous greenhouse gas there is.⁣
⁣
Methane traps 80x more heat than CO₂ over 20 years and drives nearly ⁣30% of global warming. ⁣
⁣
From January 2025 to June this year, Energy Transfer’s Shreveport facility reportedly emitted methane at an average rate of 1.56 tonnes an hour. According to a study by UCLA, it is 15 times larger than the threshold defined in a Biden-era program by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).⁣
⁣
Fossil fuel companies and their billionaire CEO’s only care for one thing - maximising profit. That comes at a cost for the planet, communities and nature worldwide. They keep racking up profits while trying to silence anyone who dares to oppose them. ⁣
