Carolina Herrera Spring 27 Collection

For Spring 27, wesgordon revisits the House’s beginnings through a collaboration with The New Yorker magazine newyorkermag, recreating its April 27, 1981 cover, published on the day of Mrs. Herrera’s first fashion show at The Metropolitan Club. Originally illustrated by Lonni Sue Johnson, the cover’s Manhattan skyline is rendered in intricate hand embroidery by the Herrera atelier.
