“My passion for innovation comes from my desire to solve everyday problems.”

Skills can turn ideas into solutions. Create pathways to employment. Build confidence. And help sustain economies for the future.

In Ghana, technical and vocational education and training (TVET) is equipping young people with practical, relevant and future-ready skills that respond to the changing realities of the world of work.

Through UNESCO’s Better Education for Africa’s Rise (BEAR III) project, government, TVET institutions and the private sector are working together to develop demand-driven training, modernise learning environments and strengthen connections between education and employers.

From welding and fabrication to agriculture and mechanical engineering, young people are gaining the skills to build careers, create opportunities and contribute to their communities and economy.

Watch Episode 3: Skills That Sustain | Ghana and discover how investing in skills today can help build a more sustainable and resilient future.

The BEAR III project is implemented by UNESCO with the support of the Republic of Korea.
