The founders of jctcenter Jersey City Theater Center were honored to be invited to receive a philanthropic gift from the LeFrak and Simon families as part of a 40th Anniversary of Newport development newport.rentals recognizing 40 Jersey City nonprofits and committing the philanthropic support to Jersey City nonprofits of $2 million this year and $5 million in the next five years. It is a great support for our City’s nonprofit sector and we are grateful.

These two families took a remarkable risk in transforming former industrial land into Newport. Jersey City’s Newport development has served 150,000 people has called Newport home over last fourth years. Hearing their stories reminded us how those who deeply care can change lives, cities and communities they serve. Today Newport’s commitment to Jersey City extends way beyond the neighborhood they built. Today, their generosity supports the organizations and people who bring this city to life by serving others.

It was moving to see so many nonprofit leaders, people who spend each day caring for others celebrated for their work. Thank you to the LeFrak and Simon families and the Newport team for this generous gift and for believing in Jersey City’s nonprofit community. ❤️ #JerseyCityTheaterCenter #JCTC #NewportJerseyCity #JerseyCity #JerseyCityArts SupportTheArts ArtsPhilanthropy CommunityGiving JerseyCityNonprofits ThankYouLeFrak ThankYouSimonFamily
