The marathon has changed forever.

From Eliud Kipchoge's historic 1:59:40 INEOS 1:59 Challenge to Kelvin Kiptum's incredible 2:00:35 world record in Chicago, these are the 5 fastest marathon performances ever run.

In this video, we break down the fastest marathon performances in history, including:

London Marathon 2026 — Sabastian Sawe
INEOS 1:59 Challenge — Eliud Kipchoge
Nike Breaking2 — Eliud Kipchoge
Chicago Marathon 2023 — Kelvin Kiptum
Berlin Marathon 2022 — Eliud Kipchoge

The two-hour marathon was once considered impossible. Now, we've seen it happen — both unofficially and officially.

Which performance do you think was the most impressive? Let me know in the comments!
