#TSRUpdatez: Last November, former Miss Universe Jamaica, Dr. #GabrielleHenry, suffered a major fall during the preliminary competition. Now, she is speaking out about the incident, her recovery, and the lawsuit she has filed against the Miss Universe organization.

In an interview with abcnews, Henry recalled the incident and said, “It's one of the most traumatizing things. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. There is almost an out-of-body experience. A sense of disassociation from oneself.”

The viral moment showed her falling through an opening on the stage. Henry says she lost consciousness and has no recollection of the fall. The bottom of the hole was reportedly a concrete base.

Her injuries from the fall included a brain bleed, as well as back and facial injuries. She said, “I looked at the cameras as we were instructed to do. I was following what we had rehearsed. I stopped when I was told to stop, I looked at the cameras, and then, when I was instructed to go, I turned to the left, which I was told to do. And in that moment is when those dreams shattered.”

Henry is now suing the Miss Universe organization over the incident. In the lawsuit, which was filed on September 21st, she is accusing the organization and its parent company, JKN Legacy Inc., and Legacy Holding Group USA, of “negligence, negligent hiring, retention and supervision; and both negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

ABC News notes that the Miss Universe Organization said that "the health and well-being of Ms. Gabrielle Henry has always been a priority.” They claimed they did not receive the lawsuit; and therefore they are “not in a position to comment on claims we have not seen."
