#HarveyWeinstein was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday after being convicted of sexually assaulting former TV production assistant #MiriamHaley.

The 74-year-old was found guilty during a retrial last year of a first-degree criminal sex act stemming from Haley’s allegations that Weinstein assaulted her at his Manhattan apartment in 2006.

Weinstein was originally convicted in 2020 and sentenced to 23 years, but New York’s highest court overturned that conviction in 2024 and ordered a new trial, finding that testimony from women whose allegations were not part of the charges had unfairly prejudiced the case.

Before Wednesday’s sentencing, Haley told the court the assault had a “devastating effect” on her life and sense of security. Weinstein expressed remorse for Haley’s pain but maintained his innocence.
