Opening tomorrow at the New Museum (newmuseum): "Hyundai Translocal Series: Ho Tzu Nyen.”

Launching the collaboration between the New Museum and the Ulsan Art Museum, the exhibition features new commissioned works by Singapore-based artist Ho Tzu Nyen, whose work spans a range of media to explore Southeast Asia’s plurality of cultures.

From September 24 through January 24, 2027, “P for Power: Up Down" (2026) will take over the screens inside the New Museum’s Bowery-facing elevators. When visitors press the floor buttons, a life-sized figure appears and delivers messages, mantras, and riddles on the nature of power. Generative AI produces new images and interactions with every press of a button.

The next chapter of the exhibition with “P for Power: Double Life of P" (2026), opens at the Ulsan Art Museum on October 22.
