## Caption

I've always loved Perseid week. Something epic about finding the darkest place you can and watching the sky catch fire. My dad hand-built a 1600mm telescope in our garage when I was in diapers, and thus launched a lifelong fascination for astronomy and astrophotography for both of us. I miss not being close to the PNW mountains during weeks like this, but still chase the stars around golf courses.
