From San Luis Potosí, Mexico, to Dallas, Andrea Pedraza’s journey has always been about creating a better life for her family.

She came to Texas at 21 with a one-way bus ticket and a dream of something more. After working as a seamstress for 10 years, Andrea found her way to chocolate, spending 24 years learning the craft and building her expertise before an unexpected career change led her to a new dream of her own.

In 2009, Andrea and her daughter, Cindy, turned that dream into cocoandreoakcliff , starting with their last paychecks, $1,000 in savings and the help of family and friends. What began as a small chocolate shop in Bishop Arts grew into a Dallas legacy built around family, hard work and a love for the craft.

Today, more than 25 years after first finding her way into the world of chocolate, Andrea continues to share her craft and heritage with Dallas. And that legacy is growing with the grand opening of CocoAndré’s third location on Saturday, September 26.

Her story is one of many that make Dallas Hecho por Muchos. 🇲🇽✨
