Ice Nine Kills, Louder Than Life 2026

LIVE REVIEW: Back in the Autumn of 2008, Ice Nine Kills made a trip to Louisville to play at the now-defunct Bulldog Cafe on a tour that also featured LoveHateHero, Before Their Eyes, Eyes Set to Kill, A Kiss For Jersey and Oceana. Nearly 18 years later, they are still returning to paint this town red, but on a much more grand and grittier scale, to say the least.
It is a testament not just to INK’s undeniable tenacity to never stop being exactly who they are that they are still here doing what they do, but for it to have reached the place that it has, at its dramatic, carefully orchestrated and infinitely gory best, is a whole other pit of corpses.
And it feels as though with every show, the ante is upped on how far they are willing to push their sensational production. From Hannibal Lecter chewing face, literally, to Art The Clown dressed as a certain Colonel Saunders doing the most unspeakable things, no taboo remains off-limits, and no amount of fake blood is too much.
Alongside such theatre, the band keep up the pace and brutality with ease. ‘Stabbing In The Dark’ is gargantuan, ‘The Laugh Track’ is catchiness incarnate, and ‘Twisting The Knife’, featuring a sensational appearance from Alissa White-Gluz, soars.
With every show they put on, INK embeds themselves deeper into the metalcore history books, and clearly have no intention of letting up the intensity as such a ritual takes place.
For the version of them showing off their ‘The Burning’ EP nearly two decades ago, and for the version decimating everything in their path on stage today, they deserve every gallon of glory that has come their way.
