Coheed and Cambria, Louder Than Life 2026

LIVE REVIEW: When you’re in the unique position of reopening a festival main stage after a site evacuation due to inclement weather, no band is better suited to turn the energy back up than Coheed and Cambria.
Igniting the soul is their bread and butter, it has been for over three decades, and in the 30 minutes they have on stage, they deliver a near-perfect celebration of the togetherness and vibrancy of alternative music you’re ever going to witness.
From the double header of ‘A Favor House Atlantic’ and ‘Blood Red Summer’ kicking off jubilant singalongs from front to back to the soaring chorus that sits at the heart of ‘Shoulders’, the hip-shaking grooves of ‘The Liar’s Club’ to the effervescent ‘Welcome Home’, they pull out all the stops, and the undeniable bangers, to get everybody piling back in on the same level once more.
The band simply cannot hide their elation at the situation, smiling from ear to ear through every noodling solo and dramatic breakdown. And as Claudio Sanchez runs across the full span of both the Louder and Life stages, giving him the chance to see every single person sharing in this occasion with them, it serves as a potent reminder of how music should make us all feel.
Elated, connected, free.
That is Coheed, through and through.
