Photos by Canon Creator marinawphoto: "As a creative portrait photographer, the styling and creative direction behind every photo I take is half the fun for me. When I started learning color theory early on in my photography journey, it changed my body of work completely. Making intentional choices around what colors will be present in the location, props, and wardrobe of my shoots is something that not only allowed me to make better photos, but also establish my personal style and brand. When planning to take portraits of my friend in her lush backyard, I knew I wanted to get some shots with lots of greenery from the large oak trees, ginger plants, and grass so I intentionally styled her in this dress for a bright pop of red, which is the complementary color of green. The portraits are simple, but the color does the work in drawing your eye in to the subject immediately."
