Milton (GA) RB Sheldon Atchison has been suspended for one game by the GHSA following this celebration against Battle Ground Academy (TN).

Was this worthy of a one-game suspension? 🤔

Atchison and Milton made the trip to Tennessee for a matchup against Battle Ground Academy, with the Eagles coming away with a 42-21 victory. The game featured plenty of big plays, but this celebration from Atchison quickly became one of the most talked-about moments after the final whistle.

The GHSA has since handed Atchison a one-game suspension for the celebration, meaning Milton will be without the running back for its next contest. The decision has sparked plenty of debate across social media over where the line should be drawn when it comes to celebrations in high school football.

Milton has established itself as one of Georgia’s premier high school football programs in recent years, regularly competing against top programs from both inside and outside the state. Atchison is part of a talented Eagles roster looking to put together another big season.

What do you think: was the one-game suspension justified, or was the punishment too much?
