Some memories stick with you forever.

This piece is inspired by me and my dad when I was probably 2 or 3 years old. He’d be in the living room playing music on his stereo, call me in or just grab me and sit me right there on the floor with him. 😂

The Whispers. Babyface. Toni Braxton. old-school R&B was all I heard growing up. And probably where my love for R&B came from.

** another little piece of family history hidden in the artwork too. The record my dad is holding is an album by Slave. The cover features my Uncle George, who was a model and actor back in the day, holding my cousin when she was a baby.

So this one is more than just an art piece.
Crazy how the things you experience as a kid stay with you.
