Digging holes just got a little more interesting.

This is the new DEWALT DCEA570 cordless auger, designed to take some of the work out of digging holes for things like fence posts, landscaping, and other outdoor projects.

What I like about tools like this is seeing jobs that traditionally meant grabbing a gas-powered machine start moving onto the battery platform.

No mixing fuel. No pull start. Drop in the battery and get to work.

But an auger is one of those tools where power and control really matter, especially once you start hitting tougher ground.

So I’m curious what everyone thinks…

Would you trust a battery-powered auger for your jobs, or are you sticking with gas?
