When the wood absolutely refuses to come apart…

Sometimes you stop fighting it and go straight for the fasteners.

I needed to remove this damaged piece of lumber, but after trying just about everything, it wasn’t going anywhere. The nails buried between the two pieces were holding on for dear life.

So instead of destroying everything around it trying to pry it apart, I grabbed a reciprocating saw with a Diablo blade, slipped it between the lumber, and cut straight through the nails.

A few quick cuts and the damaged piece was finally free so I could get on with the repair.

Sometimes demolition isn’t about using more force it’s about knowing exactly what needs to be cut.
