While everyone else was filming the finished tools in the showroom…

I managed to get into the R&D room. 👀

And this is the stuff I love seeing.

I got a behind-the-scenes look at how the OX Speed Frame adjustable level went from the inventor’s original concept to the tool you see today.

Prototype after prototype. Different handles. Different locking mechanisms. Different end designs. Even 3D-printed versions made just to test how the tool felt in your hand before moving onto the next stage.

Seeing all the failed ideas, changes, and improvements lined up beside the final product really puts into perspective how much development can go into something that looks relatively simple once it hits the shelf.

We always see the finished tool…

We rarely get to see everything it took to get there.
