I tested Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash to see whether Google’s new AI video model is actually worth the hype. I put it through five real-world tests covering cinematic text-to-video, realistic physics, 2D and 3D motion graphics, first-and-last-frame generation, AI video extension, and conversational video editing.

For the first test, I compared Omni 1.1 Flash vs Seedance 2.5 using the same prompts for visual realism and physics. Then I pushed Omni further with exact typography, cinematic transitions, clip extension, continuity, and targeted video edits to find out where it performs well—and where it still struggles with text, consistency, prompt accuracy, safety filters, and unwanted changes.
