ad OMG…my first spooky tablescape of the season
And apparently we’re cable-tying cups to staircases now… some of you just need to be a little more witchical
I’m embracing all things Practical Magic with ninjakitchenuk and celebrating the return of an iconic 90s film, Practical Magic 2 (in cinemas now!) with a little magic of my own. Think self-stirring cauldrons, levitating centrepieces, autumnal florals and, of course, a witches’ brew.
The limited-edition Practical Magic Ninja SLUSHi really does bring a whole new meaning to “what’s your poison?”Mine is a Witch’s Brew Slushi Twist — Charcoal Citrus and Hibiscus Hex twisted together using the Dual Slush function.
WITCH’S BREW SLUSHI TWIST — serves 6
Charcoal Citrus:
3 cups orange juice
½ cup honey
½ cup lemon juice
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup water
Hibiscus Hex:
40 oz grapefruit citrus soda
1 cup hibiscus simple syrup*
*For the hibiscus syrup: dissolve 1 cup sugar into 1 cup water, add ½ cup dried whole hibiscus flowers, steep, strain and cool.
Pour each mixture into its own vessel, select Dual Slush Assist, then let the Ninja do its magic. Twist the two together and finish with rose petals and a Tajín rim.
And somewhere between making cauldrons stir themselves and suspending spinning cake stands from my ceiling, I realised why we love spooky season so much as adults… it gives us an excuse to be playful again. To be creative, ridiculous and, dare I say it, a little bit childish — in the best possible way.

Because it goes to show, almost anything can be Practically Magic.
Let me know what you think to this one! Love, Jack x
