Get to Know: Marina Rheingantz ✨

Marina Rheingantz’s landscape paintings draw on memories and an evolving archive of photographs, painterly and textile references, bringing together what has been seen, sensed and remembered.

‘When I started painting, my practice was very connected with the landscape I grew up in. I felt bound to the wilderness and the feeling of being free.’ – Marina Rheingantz

Though Marina’s paintings resist identification with any particular site, Brazil nevertheless remains a constant touchstone: embedded in references to wildlife native to the country, in recollections of the artist’s upbringing in rural Araraquara, and, more diffusely, in the material sensibility of the works themselves.

📍 Marina Rheingantz’s exhibition ‘Míope’ is on view until 24 October 2026 at White Cube Seoul.
