MomsRising was delighted to support the efforts to build Boston's first freestanding birth center in the heart of Roxbury! neighborhoodbirthcenter, which aims to improve health outcomes and experiences by creating a welcoming, home-like sanctuary for community-based midwifery care, has been decades in the making. And we are ready for it! The Construction Kick Off Party brought out so much community love including from Boston mayorwu, baystatebirth, mindthegapma and many others. It feels good to make history when there are fierce maternal health advocates who have worked so hard to make this moment happen. #maternaljustice
