Residents near Columbia Park in northeast Minneapolis have spent months navigating construction as crews refurbish underground water lines. During the work, water is being routed to homes through temporary above-ground pipes and hoses.

The city says the project remains on schedule, with a November deadline. But as temperatures begin to fall, some neighbors are worried about what could happen if freezing weather arrives before the work is finished.
