New question: What is this asking of me? And am I willing to give it?

Old question: How much more can I give to prove myself?
New question: What is being given to me? What am I receiving here? What's in it for me?

Old question: How do I keep him? How do I hold onto him?
New question: Can I be fully myself here? Can I let go of him and hold onto myself?

Can I let go of him, hold onto myself, and trust that he's holding onto himself too — so we come together as two whole beings, not two halves trying to make one whole?

That's the standard. Not smaller. Not managing. Not performing. Whole, meeting whole.
