Clinical Nutritionist Khyati Rupani shares simple ways to upgrade everyday Indian foods into healthy, nutritious and tasty tiffin ideas that kids will actually enjoy eating.

🍚 Upgrade regular idli
Add oats, nachni/ragi flour or sprouts to the batter. Add capsicum, spring onions and other vegetables to turn it into a fun chilli idli.

🥪 Hummus Open Toast
Spread hummus on toasted bread and top it with colourful vegetables and olives for an easy lunchbox option.

🥗 Sprouts Chaat
Combine sprouts with beetroot, potato, grated carrot, onion and imli chutney for a tasty and filling tiffin.

🫓 Cabbage Paratha
Add grated cabbage and a nutritious filling to make the regular paratha more interesting for your child.

The idea isn’t to force children to eat foods they don’t enjoy. Take familiar foods they already like and find simple ways to improve their nutritional value.

Healthy tiffin can be tasty, practical AND nutritious.
