Here is how I get picky eaters to eat this.

Yogurt-marinated chicken, crunchy iceberg salad, and two sauces made from scratch. The red pepper and garlic sauce got a name: Spidey Sauce.

It won.

Kids eat with their eyes and ears first. How the food looks and what you call it matter before they ever take a bite. That’s why I put thought into the sauce names, too.

Something to try at home: serve the sauce on the side, give it a fun name, and let your kid decide how much to add. Give them a way into a meal they haven’t tried.
