CommBank Socceroos Head Coach Tony Popovic and midfielder Riley McGree speak to media ahead of Australia’s opening match against Brazil in Townsville.

Popovic thanks the Queensland Government for its support in bringing five-time World Cup winners Brazil to Queensland, discusses Mohamed Toure’s injury, the possibility of debutants featuring, and the challenge of facing a team led by one of world football’s most respected coaches.

McGree reflects on missing the FIFA World Cup 2026™ through injury, his return to camp, the responsibility of representing Australia, and the excitement of testing the Socceroos against one of the best teams in world football.
