A year ago, I asked one of my clients a question that made her cry: “What if you don’t meet your soulmate until you’re 40, like I did?”

Bethany wanted love. Deeply. And there was absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But underneath the desire was an attachment to the timeline.

She could surrender, as long as the Universe still delivered according to schedule.

That isn’t surrender. That is control wearing a spiritual outfit.

Real surrender does not mean giving up on what you want. It means giving up your insistence about how, when and through whom it must arrive.

Bethany did that work.

She stopped making her happiness contingent upon finding her soulmate. She built trust. She lived her life. She became available for what she wanted without trying to force the outcome.

Then she met Fabian.

And one year after that conversation, they got engaged.

Even better? This is now the THIRD engagement among my clients this year.

So, if you are in the part where you cannot yet see how it is all going to work out, remember:

Not knowing when it will happen does not mean it isn’t happening.

Surrendering the timeline does not mean surrendering the dream.

You can want the soulmate. The business. The money. The opportunity. The magnificent next chapter.

You simply have to stop making your happiness contingent upon its arrival.

That is surrender.
