Most people think the moment they fall behind is the moment the story is over.

The truth?
That’s usually the moment the real game begins.

Watching the Knicks this postseason reminded me of one of the core principles of GILT FREE: your life changes when you stop reacting from identity wounds and start acting from possibility instead.

Down 29 points, most people mentally quit.
Not because the game is actually over.
Because they decide being behind means something about who they are.

That is how so many people live:
One failed relationship = “I’ll always choose wrong.”
One business miss = “I’m not cut out for this.”
One setback = “I’m too far gone.”

But comebacks only happen when you refuse to worship the scoreboard.

The Knicks kept playing to WIN.
Not to protect their ego.
Not to avoid embarrassment.
Not to explain why it was impossible.

And that is how every turnaround happens in life too.

If you are behind right now, hear this:
Your circumstances may be facts. But they are not your identity.

You are still on the court.
And you can still win.

GILT FREE RULE: Never confuse the current score with the final outcome.

And go Knicks!
