Zoe Johns ’27 and Riley Cottgias ’27 celebrate during Arapahoe’s 7-0 win over Smoky Hill Sept. 26, one of the Warriors’ final home games of the regular season. Cottgias started at first base while Johns started at second. After playing together for all four years of their high school careers, the seniors combined for an out late in the game. The win was followed by a Senior Day celebration, including confetti to mark their final season with Arapahoe softball. “I think this year, as seniors, their leadership and stepping out of their comfort zone and being vocal has been really awesome,” coach Josh Franklin said.
