## Caption

I started my running journey 10 years ago by running for a charity, and I ran for them 7 or 8 times over the years! This year I’m running for @teamforkids for the @nycmarathon and I couldn’t be more proud to raise money for a good cause!

To say that charity runners don’t belong in the world majors is incredibly out of touch, we’re working just as hard as anyone else to train for these races plus we’re fundraising! Neither of which is a small feat!

I’m not sure when the running community got so snotty about all of this but it is NOT a good look! I understand being sad about not getting into a race, I’ve been there so many times, but taking shots at people’s running abilities or the fact that they got in via a charity spot is not a good look.

(my fundraising link is in my bio if you’d like to support!)
