【Fake ‘Official’ Texts and Family? Beware of Tailored Scams‼️】

Think hearing about scams all the time means you're immune🧐? Fraudsters are now rolling out tailor-made traps that catch victims off guard. One careless moment could cost you a fortune💸.

Recently, phishing texts impersonating ‘HA Go’ or ‘eHealth’📱have claimed that trials for the Voluntary Health Insurance Scheme (VHIS) or other medical schemes are ending, luring victims to fake UnionPay sites to steal card details for unauthorised transactions💳.

The ‘Guess Who’ phone scam has also escalated☎️. Fraudsters not only make random cold calls under fake identities but also hijack messaging accounts to trawl through chat histories. With these details, they tailor their excuses—even mimicking voices to demand urgent transfers or claiming a ‘friend’ or ‘lawyer’ will collect cash in person💵.

Don’t want to become the fraudsters’ next target? Keep these anti-scam tips in mind:
💡Official texts from the Hospital Authority and eHealth always begin with ‘#HA Go’ or ‘#eHealth’
💡Hospital Authority caller IDs are always 7 digits (1828 500–599 or 1828 600–699); never trust calls that don't match
💡Never click links in text messages or share sensitive personal information
💡When friends or relatives ask for money, never trust them solely by voice; always contact them directly to verify before transferring funds
💡Never transfer to unfamiliar accounts or agree to third-party cash collection
💡If in doubt, call the Anti-Scam Helpline 18222 or check Scameter+
