Marchenko ➡️ BOS 🔜? 👀

According to Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts podcast, the Bruins, being one of many NHL teams interested, tried to trade for Kirill Marchenko. The 26-year-old right winger is unlikely to re-sign with the Columbus Blue Jackets, as reported by Kevin Weekes over the NHL Draft weekend this summer.

Further to this, Marchenko’s agent Dan Milenstein, posted a GIF of a bear on Twitter (swipe to see) on the night before the NHL’s new CBA kicked in. Many bruins fans had speculated this was connective tissue between the client and Boston 😳

Marchenko, who makes $3.85M, scored 27 goals for 67 points in 76 games for the Blue Jackets in 2025-26. In the past two campaigns, he’s scored above 70 points per 82 games. Columbus ideally would want current players to help their team win now if a trade were to be conducted.

Thoughts? What do you think the Bruins offered? And was Milenstein hinting at the offer Friedman said the Bruins made? 🤔
