4 mini-hurdle drills to move faster, cut sharper and jump more explosively in ANY sport ⬇️

1. CROSSOVER STEP-OVERS | 3 sets x 8 reps each way

Grooves the crossover step, the go to move for covering ground sideways when you’re closing out, chasing a loose ball or tracking an opponent. Builds hip rotation and a powerful knee drive.

💡Let your hips turn while your chest stays facing forward.

2. LATERAL STEP-OVERS | 3 sets x 10 reps each way

Sharpens lateral quickness, coordination and foot speed so you can react side to side without losing balance.

💡 Stay tall, drive the knee up and over (don’t swing your leg around) and stay light on your feet.

3. ZIG-ZAG SINGLE-LEG HOPS | 3–4 sets x 4 hops (2 per leg)

Develops single-leg power and landing control, the foundation for cutting, decelerating and exploding off one foot, while building stronger, more stable knees and ankles.

💡 Stick each landing for a beat with your knee in line with your toes, then push into the next hop.

4. MULTI-DIRECTIONAL HOPS | 3 sets x 12 hops

Hop left, back and right, returning to the middle each time. Trains reactive power in every direction, because sport doesn’t happen in straight lines.

💡 Land soft on the balls of your feet and get off the ground fast.

🏆 WHY IT WORKS FOR EVERY SPORT
Soccer, basketball, football, tennis, volleyball: every game comes down to who can accelerate, stop, change direction and go again the fastest. These drills build quick feet, explosive hips and springy ankles, and they teach you to land under control, which helps keep your knees and ankles healthy.

📅 HOW TO USE THEM
Do them after your warm-up, 2–3x a week, while you’re fresh. Rest 45–60 sec between sets (60–90 sec for the single-leg hops). Quality over quantity: if your feet slow down or you start clipping hurdles, end the set.

📌 Save this for your next session and send it to a teammate who needs faster feet 👟
