Brandy gave us generations of R&B classics, and now her daughter Sy’Rai Smith is ready to introduce us to a sound that is completely her own. 

At 24, Sy’Rai is stepping into her own spotlight with her debut EP, Cold War, an eight-track project that gets personal about love, relationships, heartbreak, outside opinions and finding the strength to move forward.

And yes, being Brandy’s daughter comes with BIG shoes to fill, but Sy’Rai isn’t trying to be her mother. She’s making it clear that while Brandy is one of her biggest inspirations, she has her own life, her own experiences and her own story to tell.
