Canada is pledging another $100 MILLION in assistance for Palestinians in Gaza & the West Bank‼️😳🇵🇸

Prime Minister Mark Carney announced the funding Tuesday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Of the $100 million, $80 million will go toward humanitarian assistance, while $20 million will support peace and security capacity-building, including additional funding for a long-running Canadian project that helps train Palestinian police.

Carney said the funding is intended to address immediate humanitarian needs and support efforts toward a two-state solution.

The announcement brings Ottawa’s pledged assistance for Palestinian civilians since October 2023 to more than $600 million, according to The Canadian Press.
