Sometimes the best reward isn’t a food item. 

I’m looking at you high prey drive dogs 👀

One of the best rewards you’ll ever use is play. 

It’s all about finding the thing for your dog that creates a higher arousal response and in what environments. Also IF you can CONTROL it. 

Food may work really well in a controlled or indoor setting. A toy may work better in an outdoor, higher stimulating setting. 

In all comes down to your dog and playing with reward mechanisms to keep them engaged and focused on you.
