He calmly steps away from the still-moving car and blends into a crowd of strangers waiting at a bus stop.

Without Reacher saying a word, one man realizes exactly what is happening and hands him a Pittsburgh Pirates cap to help conceal his face.

The rest of the crowd plays along while police surround the now-empty Chevelle, allowing Reacher to quietly board the bus and disappear.

Making the sequence even better, Tom Cruise performed the car-chase driving himself rather than handing the entire scene over to a stunt double.
