## Caption

😮‍💨🧊 Kimi Räikkönen retired from the 2006 Monaco Grand Prix and basically went straight to his yacht.

The McLaren driver had started third and spent much of the race fighting Fernando Alonso near the front.

Shortly after the Safety Car came out around lap 50, an exhaust and heat-related failure left Räikkönen’s McLaren smoking and forced him to retire.

Instead of heading back to the paddock with the team, Kimi walked through Monaco toward the harbor.

Within roughly 15 minutes of retiring, cameras caught him already on his yacht watching the rest of the Grand Prix.

It became one of the most perfectly “Kimi” moments of his career and only added to the Iceman legend.

Would any other F1 driver react to a Monaco retirement like this?
