🏁 Dad said “never downshift into first,” but he never raced at Spa.

Some advice makes perfect sense on the road and absolutely disappears the second you start chasing lap time in a sim.

When the corner gets tight enough, suddenly first gear starts looking a lot more tempting than it ever did during driving lessons.

The best part is how serious sim racers get about every shift, braking point and steering input like an actual championship is on the line.

One missed gear can ruin the entire corner, while getting it right feels way more satisfying than it probably should.

This is exactly how “just one lap” turns into another hour behind the wheel.
